I find that it's easy to get wrapped up in the creative idea and have it flounder around in my head for a while -- or forever. It's when I put a deadline on the idea/project that it gets executed. I think that's why I wouldn't be successful as a fine artist. I'd spend 10 months of the year meandering and 2 months cramming for a show. It definitely takes discipline to make things happen, especially outside of work where you have time carved out to work on them. Sold.
